This competition is run on similar lines to the national
Grand Prix. It links a series of rapidplay events held in Cornwall throughout
the season. These include the 4 existing events held on weekends (Duchy,
East Cornwall and both county opens organised by Roger Grime) and a number
of club events. A The player's score for each event is converted into
a percentage which is multiplied as follows. In the case of the Cornwall
Rapidplay Championship (18th May) the multiplier is 3 and for the Open
QP on 16th March it is 2. In all other cases the multiplier is 1. The
final score for each player at the end of the season will be the sum of
his 5 best scores.
The events included in the competition are: Duchy (A7), Camborne Club
(B5), Bodmin (C6), Penwith (D6), County QP 1 (E6) and County QP2 (F5).
The two County quickplay counted for double and triple points respectively.
